The proprietor of Chern Chim Quality Foods came to Udon Thani in late 2008 initially just to visit some friends and family. During the time he spent here, he realised that there was a large number of Expats within the community.

He visited many of the local expat eating establishments and discussed about the potential of a locally based Western food supplier and supermarket with them. Many of which agreed that it would be a great idea.

Chern Chim finally opened on the 19th May 2009 in a freshly built and converted double shop house in a prime location in central Udon Thani, with parking out front if required. This followed months of planning, reviewing, sourcing products and developing relationships with local and international distributors.

The outlet itself required 3 major areas:

1. A large freezer for the frozen section
2. Imported goods required a Shelved Mini Mart Area
3. Deli / sandwich bar & cafe

Emphasis has been geared towards being a spacious clean environment for the customers to browse and consume the extensive in-house menu that is available.

Ongoing Chern Chim developments will see further business opportunities becoming available for potential franchisee's to become license holders within the North East and North of Thailand to further the growth of the company and increase their buying power. Please click here for further information.
